Had a wonderful tour with Michael who was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Was very amenable to adding sites to our tour.

Our personal tour guide Elena was amazing. She shared so many Greek history and traditions with us that we would have gotten from a generic tour group. She also took us to many parts of the city that had the most interesting history.. She told how the people made bridges from roof to roof to hide from pirates that would come to the islands. She personable, knowledgeable and engaging on all levels. We bumped into her in Santorini again the next day and it was like we saw an old friend..

Dimitris was a wonderful guide. We were thrilled with everything we saw. The archaeological site of Akrotiri was incredible.

We had a good time exploring with Demitris. He was punctual and friendly - he gave us a great overview of the island. I mentioned that I love lighthouses and the next thing I saw we were on the road to the lighthouse. It was fun to customize our day. We enjoyed the wine and caper leaves during our tasting. (I'm a huge fan of caper leaves now) And we learned a lot! Demitris gave us dining recommendations and even offered to call for reservations. He knew we were heading back to Athens and provided the name of a place to try there too. At the end of the day Demitris gave us the "evil eye" charm that is see all around Santorini. It worked! When we got back to the hotel we had an amazing upgrade to our room. Thanks!

This was an amazing tour! We were picked up at our villa at the exact time in a beautiful, modern comfortable luxury van. Our professional guide Dimitris was very knowledgeable and a very safe driver. We saw sights in Santorini most people never see. This is a "Must Do" tour when you visit the island!

Tour was very informative and Gia was a great tour guide!. She was very accommodating and made sure us seniors didn’t have to walk too much!

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this experience was. It started out with our driver, Panagiota Fantopoulou, picking us up at our hotel. It was a very hot day in Santorini so she came prepared with a cooler full of bottles of water. We didn't have hats on so she suggested we either get hats or buy hats because we were going to need them. Thank God we did because it was hot that day!!! Panagiota was super knowledgeable about the island of Santorini and its history. Someone in our group had a disability so she was very patient with us and gave us plenty of time to rest. She was so lovely and even volunteered to photograph us in some of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen. We ended the day in Akrotiri having an amazing lunch at Maria's - a true authentic Greek experience that I will never forget. I highly recommend booking this tour! Just wish Panagiota was our tour guide for the remaining of the time in Santorini.

Feeling connected with something very old, admiring the beauty of such accomplishments so long ago. We had a very sweet and generous guide. She was very knowledgeable, great energy, concerned for everyone’s safety, and very orderly. She made a special trip to her favorite bakery to surprise us with the popular great dessert Baklava. And boy was it great.

Along with visiting the most exquisite beaches, taking in the breath-taking scenery and having the best dining experiences Santorini has to offer, it was of paramount importance for my two sisters and I to also include a comprehensive guided tour of the island’s rich culture and history. We took to Viator to explore our many options. The tour we ended up choosing, the ‘Private Cultural Villages Sightseeing & Akrotiri Excavations’ operated by Santorini Road Trips certainly stood out and met all our requirements for what we wished our day to look like. Before embarking on the trip, we thought the price was very reasonable and great value for all that it included. Yet, the actual value we ended up experiencing far exceeded any expectations we might have had. That is wholly due to our absolute star tour guide, the incomparable Panagiota. She lead the tour with such efficiency, an impressive breadth of knowledge, sincere passion, and intense pride for Santorini. All with an infectiously positive and personable energy and insight - an absolute joy to be around. The testament to her wonderful personality is evident in how the locals greeted her and clearly delighted in her presence in every stop - including the animals! She took the time to get to know us and let us learn about her on a human level. Between the history lessons we exchanged laughs, stories and point of views on various aspects of life. She generously treated us to her favourite spot for Greek coffee and surprised us with some treats she (rightly!) thought we would each love. If there is any tip I could give to anyone going on this tour with Panagiota, it is that you should absolutely take her up on her photography expertise. She is an expert on all the perfect spots, angles and lighting to take the most gorgeous photos on this tour. Better yet, hand her your camera and she will do her magic, taking several shots from a variety of angles ensuring you get the perfect one. Trust her. She knows what she’s doing and absolutely delights in it. There isn’t enough praise I could give to Panagiota. She went above and beyond her job description to accommodate all our needs and easily adapted the trip provide us with the best possible experience. For example, after informing her that we do not drink alcohol and had intended only to visit and learn about the winery without taking part, she personally contacted the winery owner to arrange for us to instead taste all the delicious cheeses, sweet and savoury preserves and decadent honey which wasn’t on the original plan. In summary, the tour was absolutely perfect. Made all the better by our lovely tour guide who we can now call our friend. We will absolutely do it again and bring the rest of our family and recommend it to all our friends. There is so much more to see and learn about the island and we trust Panagiota and Santorini Road Trips to give us the best experience every time.

Amazing experience! Our guide Panagiota was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and was very helpful with taking great photos. We got to see beautiful sights and it was very informative. Going to Maria’s farm for a sampling of her food and wine was a perfect ending to the tour. The whole family was extremely nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!
