Perfect night out in Salzburg
, May 2022
The ambiance, the service , the food , the quintet , the 2 singers …. Everything exceeded my expectations!
Extraordinary old meets new
, May 2022
Salzburg is a beautiful city, with Mozart as a special gift. A beautiful backdrop is the Mozart Dinner Concert at the Baroque Hall of St Peter's Abbey in Salzburg. on top of that nice dinner and interactive show.

Amazing experience! Definitely one for the books for 2022. The food was great, service was excellent and they performance was divine!
Great experience, but overpriced
, Dec 2021
The performance was truly amazing, but mostly operah. I'm no Mozart expert, but I only heard 3 of Mozart's "songs". The venue was exquisite. Service was mediocre - we couldn't find our waiter for a good 10 min out of the 15 min break we had plus no other waiter would take our order. And the value for money was poor - we paid 70eu each for the dinner which doesn't even include water and therefore all other drinks were pay-to-order as well and priced extremely high - not even a welcome aperativo. We paid an additional 80eu for the cheapest bottle, 2 glasses of wine, and a bottle of water. Huge wine list though. Overall it was a cool experience, but made to squeeze you of every penny. Also the violinist was a doll and gave my an ibuprofen for my headache - thank you so much!
Lovely dinner with Mozart

Professional and courteous staff. Entry was easy and organized. Candlelit hall was lovely. Vegetarian meals very good. Quintet and singers were fantastic! Perfect number of people in vaccinated audience. Felt comfortable.
Magical evening in Salzburg
, Oct 2021
It was a magical night! We started with cocktails in the restaurant what a beautiful place. I think I saw Charlemagne's ghost (just kidding but still it was fit for an emperor!). Musicians were wonderful, the singers amazing, the waitstaff were lovely and added to the enjoyment. The whole team was incredible. To be in that beautiful candle lit hall listening to music that Mozart wrote was priceless!
Wonderful evening of food and music
, Aug 2021
The evening was an absolute delight. Salzburg is a hotbed of music, and the talent of the musicians and singers was truly impressive. The dinner hall was on the second floor of one of the oldest running restaurants in Europe (open since ~803 AD). Chamber music and operatic pieces were performed between the courses of a three course meal. It was a truly memorable evening. If you have limited time in Salzburg it is well worth your time!

Dinner Concert for four on March 14th 2020
, Mar 2020
We enjoyed the musical performances and the 3-course dinner selection on March 14th immensely. The general setting, length of the event and overall service were just right and befitting the occasion. As we arrived at the venue about 45 minutes ahead of start of performances, we had several seating choices, which was appreciated. We were aware of the fact that drinks were not included in the price. Thought that prices for drinks were somewhat on the higher side, but not outlandish. Again, spent a lovely evening in an rather intimate and beautifully decorated setting.
Entertaining night
, Feb 2020
The performance was outstanding and I wish it was a little longer, but still wonderful. The meal was as expected and well made. I would say that the service was disappointing in that it felt a bit hard sell on expensive drinks, also the waiter asked to take away a dish that the lady was still eating, very strange and hurried service.
Nice evening, beautiful performance

Beautiful setting, predominant opera singing with a fabulous string quintet. Dinner served between sets, probably need a few more waiters to serve the number of tables. Drinks are extra as stated. Would have enjoyed more of Mozart’s prominent pieces with the string quintet without as much opera, but overall a very nice evening.
Very nice

Seemed a little hurried as far as serving the dinner. The music and singing were very good and the location was great.

Most enjoyable evening of Mazart
, Dec 2019
Great setting, good service, and wonderful performance. The service was a bit slow, but it was a big party, not an issue as we wanted a leisurely evening. The food was Ok, nothing spectacular, so the music was definitely the star of the evening. The only let down was the price of the wine, average €80 a bottle, which we felt was a bit steep.
An evening with Mozart
, Nov 2019
We had a hard time finding the place. I believe the entrance could be advertised better. Friendly people escorted us to our seats and our waiter spoke German and English. The evening was half booked and we enjoyed a wonderful evening with beautiful music and a great performance. The food could have been a little more, but was very tasty. We ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle of water and ended up paying 70 Euros with tip, which we knew before. The room was beautifully decorated and the sound was unbelievable. The performance was opera style and very professional. All in all it was a very good experience and my wife and I enjoyed it.

Dear Traveler, thank you for your visit and lovely summary of the evening. Sorry, we are not allowed to advertise our entrance in the old town more eye-catching. The venue of the Mozart Dinner Concert is the Baroque Hall up on the first floor of the restaurant St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, located in the heart of the old town of Salzburg, right beside the church of St. Peter. We were thrilled to get to dine in a building that was finished in 803 A. D. Amazing architecture. The performance was brilliant and the food delicious.

An average night out
Steve M
, Sep 2019
You really need to like your Mozart to get value from this (and if you do, you will probably enjoy the night). My issue was that I also like to eat, and that is a problem with this event. While the food was very nice, the portion size and the service (still confused how they can be so slow to serve) was below expectations. Also, be prepared to sell a kidney to pay for the drinks. Just a bit over the top. Overall it was a pleasant experience, but for me did not represent value for money.

Dear Steve M, thank for your visit at the Mozart Dinner Concert and honoring our musical performance. We, Salzburger Konzertgesellschaft honestly regret that your culinary experience did not meet your expectations. We take suggestions and criticism regarding gastronomic business very seriously therefore we will immediately forward your review to St. Peter Restaurant which is responsible on all issues of catering. Dear Steve, we deeply wish to apologize for your inconvenience on behalf of St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. Kind regards from Salzburg, Alexander Slanic-Watanabe Maître d' Mozart Dinner Concert
The Best in Salzburg
, Sep 2019
A gorgeous setting in the oldest restaurant in the world by St. Peter’s Abbey. The concert was fabulous !!!! Go early. I arrived about 45 minutes early and seated up front to the side. Could see perfectly and the singers were right next to me. Also ask directions as it is in the far corner of an open square. You can get there by way of Salzburg Cathedral or from St. Peter’s Church. Not sure but they seated me with English speakers. They were a delightful group!!! The food was good too! You will love this.
Mozart and wine
, Aug 2019
We enjoyed our trip immensely. The location was very nice to walk down the cafe filled streets and stopped at a number for wine or coffee. The hotel was very clean, very quiet, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were light and satisfying with good tasting coffee to get the day started. We did not use the spa although we did see quite a number of people doing so. We did have a drink at the bar and enjoyed that as well. We would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyable evening
, Aug 2019
We were visiting Salzburg during the festival and felt that, although none of us would consider ourselves fans or have a great knowledge of opera or classical music, we ought to do something that recognises the great history of Mozart. This ticked all the boxes where we could have a meal as well as have an appreciation of Mozart. It is a beautiful setting in the Baroque Hall above the oldest restaurant in Europe, each table has a candlelabra and white tablecloths. As a group of four we were seated on a table with three other people. The food is served between the ensemble of string instruments and singers doing a set of music from the Marriage of Figaro, Eine Kleine Nachtmuzik and others. The acoustics are fantastic, the musicians and singers were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very good although the wine is quite expensive. All in all we would highly recommend the evening.
A lovely evening

Really enjoyed this mix of music and dinner in a gorgeous setting. The Quintet was good (although not playing on period instruments) and the soloists were excellent and really engaged the audience in the music and the humour of The Magic Flute. The dinner was very good (though modest), wine list very expensive.
