Dinner Concert for four on March 14th 2020
Ronald_F
, Mar 2020
We enjoyed the musical performances and the 3-course dinner selection on March 14th immensely. The general setting, length of the event and overall service were just right and befitting the occasion. As we arrived at the venue about 45 minutes ahead of start of performances, we had several seating choices, which was appreciated. We were aware of the fact that drinks were not included in the price. Thought that prices for drinks were somewhat on the higher side, but not outlandish. Again, spent a lovely evening in an rather intimate and beautifully decorated setting.

Entertaining night

The performance was outstanding and I wish it was a little longer, but still wonderful. The meal was as expected and well made. I would say that the service was disappointing in that it felt a bit hard sell on expensive drinks, also the waiter asked to take away a dish that the lady was still eating, very strange and hurried service.

Nice evening, beautiful performance

Beautiful setting, predominant opera singing with a fabulous string quintet. Dinner served between sets, probably need a few more waiters to serve the number of tables. Drinks are extra as stated. Would have enjoyed more of Mozart’s prominent pieces with the string quintet without as much opera, but overall a very nice evening.

Seemed a little hurried as far as serving the dinner. The music and singing were very good and the location was great.

Most enjoyable evening of Mazart

Great setting, good service, and wonderful performance. The service was a bit slow, but it was a big party, not an issue as we wanted a leisurely evening. The food was Ok, nothing spectacular, so the music was definitely the star of the evening. The only let down was the price of the wine, average €80 a bottle, which we felt was a bit steep.

An evening with Mozart

We had a hard time finding the place. I believe the entrance could be advertised better. Friendly people escorted us to our seats and our waiter spoke German and English. The evening was half booked and we enjoyed a wonderful evening with beautiful music and a great performance. The food could have been a little more, but was very tasty. We ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle of water and ended up paying 70 Euros with tip, which we knew before. The room was beautifully decorated and the sound was unbelievable. The performance was opera style and very professional. All in all it was a very good experience and my wife and I enjoyed it.

Dear Traveler, thank you for your visit and lovely summary of the evening. Sorry, we are not allowed to advertise our entrance in the old town more eye-catching. The venue of the Mozart Dinner Concert is the Baroque Hall up on the first floor of the restaurant St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, located in the heart of the old town of Salzburg, right beside the church of St. Peter. We were thrilled to get to dine in a building that was finished in 803 A. D. Amazing architecture. The performance was brilliant and the food delicious.

An average night out
Steve M
, Sep 2019
You really need to like your Mozart to get value from this (and if you do, you will probably enjoy the night). My issue was that I also like to eat, and that is a problem with this event. While the food was very nice, the portion size and the service (still confused how they can be so slow to serve) was below expectations. Also, be prepared to sell a kidney to pay for the drinks. Just a bit over the top. Overall it was a pleasant experience, but for me did not represent value for money.

Dear Steve M, thank for your visit at the Mozart Dinner Concert and honoring our musical performance. We, Salzburger Konzertgesellschaft honestly regret that your culinary experience did not meet your expectations. We take suggestions and criticism regarding gastronomic business very seriously therefore we will immediately forward your review to St. Peter Restaurant which is responsible on all issues of catering. Dear Steve, we deeply wish to apologize for your inconvenience on behalf of St. Peter Stiftskulinarium. Kind regards from Salzburg, Alexander Slanic-Watanabe Maître d' Mozart Dinner Concert

A gorgeous setting in the oldest restaurant in the world by St. Peter’s Abbey. The concert was fabulous !!!! Go early. I arrived about 45 minutes early and seated up front to the side. Could see perfectly and the singers were right next to me. Also ask directions as it is in the far corner of an open square. You can get there by way of Salzburg Cathedral or from St. Peter’s Church. Not sure but they seated me with English speakers. They were a delightful group!!! The food was good too! You will love this.
