Salzburg Christmas Cookies and Apple Strudel Cooking Lesson

Edelweiss Cooking School proved a delightful interlude in our time in Salzburg . We stretched our strudel dough, filled it with pre-cut apples, adding only a few extra ingredients and were shown how to roll it up. The result - delicious strudel which we ate! And the cookies were good too. Not only did we learn these skills but were fed delicious soup while our creations baked. A very relaxing, educational and fun 2 hours in the heart of Salzburg

The cooking class was basic but very informative. We made apple strudel and buttery crescent cookies while enjoying wine, beer and goulash soup. Our instructor was informative, pleasant and patient. I recommend this activity for anyone interested in learning about local Christmas dessert favorites!

had a lot of fun visiting this very unique and cozy cooking class. It's inside a very nice and historic setting just by the river and close to the main square. We learned in a nice slow paced manner and everyone got one on one experience. Surprised how easy this turned out to be with help from the chef and his easy instructions. I would love to do this again.

This was an excellent gathering of people from all over in a warm and friendly setting. We all were able to participate in making strudel and cookies with only two of us at each table. The hints given will be so helpful when I make them at home. All the demonstrations were clear and concise and we accomplished it all in a very short time. We were served a delicious goulash while our strudel and cookies baked. What we didn't eat there was wrapped up for us to take along. I highly recommend this class. It was a highlight of our visit to Salzburg.

This was a highlight to our trip! This was the best strudel we had in all of Austria, and we made it ourselves. The cookies were delicious too. We also had lunch of a wonderful goulash soup. Our chef instructor was great! I highly recommend this activity.
