Overview

Explore the Palace of Versailles on a day trip from Paris by train that includes time to discover the palace gardens and the Petit Trianon, where Marie Antoinette spent much of her time. Inside the palace, you'll see the Hall of Mirrors and the state apartments before heading outside to the private domain of the former French Queen. Many visitors to Versailles don't take the time to visit the queen's separate home and village with its farm and gardens, so don't miss this more in-depth experience.

Is a tour we all need to do when visiting France, must be patience (big crowds) ,is very big lots of walking 18000 steps that day ,there is a little train that takes you to the Antionette Estate not comfortable and goat track is very bumpy (not good for back) , I would not do it with a large group we were 9 and still lost 2 ,but with the right tour guide this would not happen.Yes there is some negative views in my review but to see this place there is no easy way, off season there is still the crowds. Hey just had to cross it off!!!

Excellent tour. Our guide Herve was extremely informative and passionate about Versailles and Marie Antoinette. His knowledge of French history was amazing. His kindness and concern about the people who were on the tour was heart warming. We were blessed to have him as our guide, 8 wonderful hours of informative history!

I cannot say enough good things about this tour. If you are lucky enough to get Herve for your tour guide you will be amazed at his knowledge. The palace was overwhelmingly crowded, but Herve made the best of it and kept us moving and was still able to share his knowledge in each of the rooms.

Our guide was Raphael. She was great! So funny and informative. We got some good historical context to the whole layout and story of Versailles. I'm glad we did the whole day option which included Marie Antoinette's hamlet. It was such an interesting contrast. Our day ended inside the gardens, which we could have stayed in longer, it's so large, but we were too tired. The palace was of course cram packed, but that was to be expected. Overall we enjoyed our day!

We knew Versailles would be impressive but we were blown away by it's real size and beauty. It is a must see. Our guide had access to areas we would never have been able to see on our own. She was a font of knowledge and answered everyone's questions. She was also very considerate of the needs of each person in our group.
