Traveler Tips

  • "Don't come with a full stomach, but also don't come starving as it's a pleasant pace and doesn't dive directly into heavy food, so there were a few folks on our tour who were disappointed in that." See review
  • "Could get quite noisy with all the other tourists walking about.. Would recommend this tour anyone, we walked for about 3 hours, so wear good walking shoes." See review

Lovely Treats

I did really enjoy the tour and tasting the different treats everything we tried was really good. The guide is very knowledgeable not only about Paris but about food and how it's made. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was although everything we got to sample the price a bit high for the quantity (and I am not saying that they where small because I am an American) of food. I also thought the order of the samples was a bit odd but maybe it made sense and I just didn't get it.

We had such a great time! Our guide, Nicholas Ferrand was excellent. He said he is a chef himself so had great insight into French cuisine. He also had great knowledge of French culture and you could tell he loves his community. He showed us some interesting spots where tourists don't go only locals so we appreciate it so much. The food was amazing! It was mostly pastries. There was only 2 wine tastings (white and red). So if you're expecting a lot of wine you will be disappointed. Be prepared for lots of walking up and down the hill. We enjoyed it immensely!

Emily the best of Paris

Emily was an amazing tour guide. She provided the history of Paris, with the science and gastronomy insights to our experience. Our group was fun, and she provided the perfect touch of a Parisian woman.

Fun Food Tour with Wine at the End

Nicholas was great!! The history and tastes were wonderful. It I good to know you will have a lot of sweets and carbs - all amazing— but not have any wine until the very end when you sit down together in a restaurant. We meet great people and had fun.

Great host

Nicolas was a great guide. Loved his home town of Paris. The only disappointment was that the tour was sold as a gourmet food and wine tour and we had sweets and a charcuterie board with very little wine. The amount of food/wine to the cost was expensive. That being said we walked a lot around Montmartre and saw a lot of the area. Just don’t go hungry!

Love the history and treats. You WILL walk!

Enjoyed the guide, the tour, the scenery, and the treats. BUT be prepared to walk, and stop and eat standing up, and walk some more. You will only stop and sit down once during this tour. There are many hills and steps. We enjoyed the tour, but not for those who have difficulty walking!

Absolutely delightful, the highlight of our trip.

This was the highlight of our Parisian experience. Emilie was a beautiful host. She is so smart, patient, kind, and informative and really has a sense for what she teaches. We took 3 young children, ages 6, 8, and 10, and she never discounted them, which was very generous of her. I was most impressed by the establishments that we visited. They were award-winning shops, best in the category of what we were sampling. It was so lovely to share food and drink with the other members of our group. I was sad to say goodbye at the end. If I could take the tour again, with our group, I would do it in an instant. Emilie is a delight and will leave the sweetest taste of Paris in your mouth! I would have no idea what to sample in Montmarte, nor would I know where to spend our time. Emilie took the guesswork out of it and because of her, I dream about visiting Monmarte again. Thank you, Emilie!
