One of the most interesting places we've been, and driving the primitive road was amazing. Out tour guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable. He was courteous and attended to our needs during the trip. The only glitch is we chose this tour specifically because it was advertised as a "Jeep" tour. Our vehicle was a Toyota Sequoia, a fine vehicle, which provides a smoother ride. However, if we wanted a smoother ride, we would have chosen the another van type tour. I'm sure the possibility of alternate vehicles was mentioned in the fine print or somewhere, but we own a Jeep Wrangler and wanted to see how it performs in those extreme circumstances. Having said that, our guide was an excellent driver.

Hello Steve, I am so glad that you enjoyed the tour! I apologize for using the suv. It is true that most guests prefer that due to the smoother ride over bumpy trails. Also, I believe that there was a third person on the tour and the larger vehicle provides more room between guests and we try to be as covid sensitive as possible. My apologies!!!

Rough roading through Joshua tree

Beautiful tour of the park through a fun and bumpy entrance. Take the Sequoia instead of the jeep. Very rough ride over all unpaved roads inside the park. Our guide Collin was very informative and professional. Only gripe was the $177 per person cost. Seems a little pricey for a 4 hour tour.

Hello Harold, thank you for the review! Yes, the trail that we take, Berdoo Canyon, is a rugged and bumpy trail to be sure. We do offer an alternative, the Joshua Tree Driving Tour which is conducted on paved roads for a much smoother experience. I am sorry you did not see the value in the tour but we have kept our prices fixed for the last 4 years despite rising fuel costs, etc.. We hope you can join us for a future tour that is less bumpy!

We had a great time going through the least explored areas of JNTP. Our driver/guide, Ben, is knowledgeable about the park’s fauna & flora and provided us with a little bit of the history of the rock formations in the park. Our guide was courteous and an engaging conversationalist.
