We had our cooking class with Antonietta in Lucca. Her husband, Piero, welcomed us in Lucca and showed us a few specialties of the city. Then we drove to their house in the country. They grow their own vegetables and also keep animals there. Wonderful! Antonietta, her husband and the lady who helps with the translation are incredibly hospitable and in every sentence you feel how much they love Italian cuisine. We made bruschetta and pasta with a salsiccia sauce together. It was great to see how a real Nonna cooks. Of course, there are no gram-specific information or the latest scientific findings needed. Experience, tradition and love for the ingredients are key. Simply great!
