Lake Como - Varenna and Bellagio Exclusive Full-Day Tour

Violetta was an excellent tour guide. We had a wonderful day with her in Bellagio and Varenna. You should definitely take this tour with her when in Como.

Violetta was our every experienced guide. The crowds were thick but our guide got us through the entire tour without any issues. Enjoyed Bellagio and the views of the lake from the ferries. It was a great tour.

Well this was an expensive day, it was truly a full day of touring with Violetta, who is a very experienced Tourguide and was very pleasant to spend the day with. She was able to offer anecdotes about certain points in the area that we otherwise would never have known about.

Violetta was a fantastic guide. She knew the area very well as was able to provide details and history about the whole lake. She also was able to customize the tour a little based on the group. She even went the extra mile to help me find my favorite gelato! A side note, this isn’t a private tour. It is actually a group tour up to 8 people. Would recommend this tour if visiting the lake como area with limited time.

In our opinion: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Booking Confirmation 1259793698 My friend and I had one day to see as much of could of Lake Como as we could so we booked the Lake Como - Varenna and Bellagio Full-day (9hrs30mins) Private Tour at an exceptionally over priced cost of £313.94 (€405) between us. In a very brief synopsis these were the issues. 1. Start time was changed form 8.45 to 11 with no clear instructions where to meet. 2. When we met at 11 we were told we had to pay another €30 each for the public Ferry (where was our Speedboat as described in the tour details? This is like booking a bike tour but having to pay extra for the bike? 3. Tour guide realised the 12.30 Ferry was sold out and told us we had to wait for the 2pm one. Why were we asked to meet at 11 and why did Viator not book our Ferry tickets in advance? 4. Man in the ticket office suggested getting a taxi to Bellagio costing about €100 which our tour guide said we would have to pay. We refused so she had to pay. 5. We spent most of the time in Bellagio sitting with drinks/food (not included in the tour) while she figured out when our ferries to Varenna/Como was, how did she not know the times? Very little communication from the guide all day. The most knowledge she had was regarding the churches and historical families, other than that there was minimal conversation, no fun, no bubbly personality you would normally get on tours. All in all I would say the knowledge she shared throughout the day could have amounted to 30mins in total and that's being generous. 6. In Varenna the guide was not planning to bring us to the Botanical gardens which is the highlight of Varenna and only that we had done our research we insisted on going there for the picturesque views of Lake Como that we see on TV etc. The cost was €8 pp which was also not included in the tour. Surely this is the highlight of Varenna and is a must for any tourist. What exactly were we paying for? €200 each to be told a few words about churches and families? We could've easily got the ferry for €30 return ourselves and walked around the towns and googled the history but as avid travellers we like to support local businesses when in another country and it's always nice to meet locals and find out more about places but in this case we were better off doing it solo. I would like Viator to justify the cost of €405. It all felt like a scam to us considering the description of the tour and the reality of it. The biggest waste of money we have ever experienced in all our travels in every part of the world.

I booked a tour with Violet last minute and was so lucky she was available. She is very knowledgeable, fun, easy to be around and energetic. She’s a great guide and I would recommend any tour she offers.

Amazing and gorgeous day! Not only was the itinerary and landscape breathtaking, but the content and company from our guide Violetta was excellent. We learnt so much! She is a delight to hang out with and tailored the tour to our interests. Violetta was so incredible and patient with taking photos of us in all the best spots, almost like our personal papparazzi, so my Instagram is currently on fire 🤣. My husband and I had so fun and cannot be more thankful! Worth every euro!

Visitamos el Lago en febrero y el tiempo no acompañó. Tuvimos mucho viento, que hizo que tuviéramos problemas a la hora de coger el ferry de la visita. Por suerte, nuestra guía (Violetta) supo amenizar nos y terminamos con muy bien sabor de Boca. Su trabajo fue impecable. Recomiendo la visita y deseo que los siguientes tengan más suerte con el tiempo.
