Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide in central Florence and hop aboard an air-conditioned, 4x4 minibus. Watch the city streets transform into the rolling hillside of Chianti, lined with vineyards and olive groves.

Your first stop of the day is at a winery belonging to one of the most prominent Italian families. Taste wines paired with cheese and olive oils, and enjoy a guided tour of the historic wine cellars. Travel to the olive mill through the villa's underground tunnels, as well as to the garden.

Afterward, head to a Tuscan restaurant and settle in for a 3-course meal, including regional specialties such as different types of fresh pasta and glasses of fine Chianti wine. (See the Itinerary for a sample menu).

Continue to a small, award-winning winery that specializes in Chianti Classico wine. Hear about the winemaking process while sipping and swirling delicious varietals.

Enjoy the last of your afternoon in the charming town of Greve-in-Chianti, where the Chianti Classico wine festival is held each year. Pick up a selection of typical salumi (cured meats) from one of Italy’s most famous butchers, before heading back to Florence.

Seeing Tuscany in a small (12 person) group was a lot of fun. My wife and I enjoyed meeting people, tasting and learning about food and wine, and seeing the beautiful Tuscany countryside. Our expert guide, Alex, was very friendly and knowledgeable on food and the region’s history. It was one of the better tours we’ve taken.

Excellent visit to the Tuscany hills

Worth every $$$, our tour guide Alex and driver Marco were great. Got us there on time and brought us back to Florence safe. Alex (the tour guide) seems very much knowledgable about wine and the area and he kept us engaged the whole time. The wine tasting was excellent as well. We had tasting at 3 different wineries. The best part of the trip was the lunch. For lunch, we had different types of appetizers and two types of pasta fish. The other best part was the drive to the Tuscany hills. The scenic of the landscape was breathtaking. At the end of the winery visit, we took a trip to a small town for gelato and some shopping. The only con, I was expecting to see a more posh vineyard as far as the property, but it was just okay. Overall, the experience was relaxing and exactly what I needed.

Loved Alex the tour guide so much! Beautiful views the ENTIRE time. The food was the best we've had on our trip thus far. There was just enough glasses of wine. You better love reds though.

Excellent day out exploring the vineyards of Chianti, sampling some of the wines of Chianti and Tuscany. Our guide and sommelier, Alex, certainly knew his subject and kept us entertained and amused for the day. Fully recommend this experience.

Alex was fantastic, if I could give 5 stars, I would. The vineyards were excellent - lovely wine, beautiful scenery and friendly staff. The lunch was a real highlight, with the most beautiful setting overlooking the Tuscan Hills. When I return to Florence I will definitely book again! Thanks Alex!!!

Great Experience

Our Guide Martina was exceptionally knowledgeable and very pleasant. From the meeting point to the location to get into the vehicle was a lengthily walk which was not expected but was manageable. Considering the size of the vehicle and the roads are so narrow it's completely understandable. The experience was great and I would recommend it. Cant wait to use our olive oil.
