Worth the trip

While we knew a lot from reading before arriving, the guide added information. She did a great job. The express pass was very helpful in getting in quickly. The Viator vendor was kind and accommodating to my confusion of where to meet up.
Put it on your bucket list

Wonderful and magnificent to behold; a masterpiece of brilliant concept, undertaking and completion.
Depends on what you are there for.

We largely go to churches for faith reasons. Although our guide spoke clearly, knew about the architecture and history of the building, expedited our process in and was very nice, he clearly had no idea about the faith aspects. For instance, the Shroud of Turin is NOT the cloth tradition says Veronica wiped the face of Jesus with. Gaudi was a deeply religious man and his faith shaped every aspect of his design. Having only the barest knowledge of that and giving a tour of a church didn't sit well with us. He missed many of the nuances (like the windows named for the Apparitions of Mary) that occurs when you have little connection to the sacredness of something. If you don't want to have a faith focus, the tour was good. If that faith/spiritual piece is important, skip it. Also good to know you cannot go into the church crypt except for 9am and 8pm for Mass and there is no access to any other level than the main sanctuary (unlike the cathedral where you can go up to the roof)

Good to be able to skip the line to get in. History of cathedral was informative. Guide was knowledgeable and the audio system worked well.
Disappointed with the guide

I booked this particular tour because it was supposed to be conducted in English . It was in fact a mixed group and the tour guide Celia gave all her talks in two languages. Spanish was clearly her first language and her English could have been better. It meant the tour was longer than it should have been and it was a struggle to follow the explanations. The church is so beautiful and inspiring but sadly the guide was rather uninterested and we got the feeling she would have preferred just Spanish speakers
Great experience

Marc was a fantastic tour guide. He gave great insight about specific details at the Sagrada Familia and was able to answer all of our questions. The tour took about 75 minutes total. It felt a little slow at times though since it’s bilingual (switching between English and Spanish). That being said, Marc’s English was impeccable.

A guided tour of the church

The basilica was stunning. The guide was very knowledgeable. It was a better experience because of information he was able to share. So glad we visited it.

No show Guide and no refund
, Sep 2021
Viatour didn't show up for our Park Guell tour. We waited 25 minutes and no tour guide showed so we paid to enter the park again. They just sell other tours and have no accountability for what they offer and who they partner with. We are yet to see a refund, We also booked another tour and changed the date because our first tour was part of a package of both Sagrada Famila and Park Guell. But they didn't allow for a cancellation even with us being a repeat customer trying to recover from the issue with the other tour. While they are responsive to the complaints they fault the customer and never offered to refund us for the issues we had with our bookings. I highly suggest you book with another company.

Our tour guide, Che, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of our questions and had a ton of information about the church.
