Take an immersive walk through the life of Pablo Picasso during this Barcelona walking tour covering some of his regular hangout spots and his education as a painter. This unique opportunity to view Barcelona through the eyes of this famous artist will add a new layer of depth to your visit to this Catalan capital.

Start your walking tour by meeting your guide in central Barcelona at 3pm for the English-language tour, where you'll begin a walk through the life of the artist during his time here from 1895 to 1905. The rich creative climate that was prevalent in the city during Picasso's time played a critical role in the artist's development.

Follow your guide along the bohemian thoroughfares where Picasso once walked, stopping at El Quatre Gats, a well-known Barcelona café where the artist once socialized with the city's creative community. Pass by the Llotja Mar, an art school where Picasso once honed his craft, taking time to view the three friezes at the Frisos del Col-legi d'Arquitectes, which represent the artist's only open-air works.

Proceed to a variety of other key sites with significance to Picasso, pausing to investigate spots where he once painted and taking a leisurely stroll through the La Ribera quarter as you make your way to the Picasso Museum. This gallery, which contains one of the world's largest collections of the artist's work, is frequently plagued by long lines for entry. Thankfully, your tour allows you the opportunity to skip the line, so proceed inside to check out the museum's massive collection covering more than 4,000 Picasso works. During your exploration of the museum, gain added insight from your guide, who will help navigate you to the most important highlights, many of which were created during the artist's formative early years.

Finish your tour at the museum, which you can continue to explore at your leisure or depart when you're ready.

Start your 2-hour walking tour of the sites associated with Pablo Picasso. As you walk, listen as your guide explains how artistically minded Barcelona had a profound effect on the young 20th-century artist who lived here for times between 1895 and 1905. Stroll through the bohemian streets Picasso frequented and view the El Quatre Gats, a café where he met with other avant-garde artists. See the Llotja Mar art school where he studied, and admire the three friezes at the Frisos del Col legi d'Arquitectes — his only open-air artworks. Don't over-plan your vacation

Yes, we were 5 minutes late trying to find the location. We did not get our prepaid tour and same happened to another couple. Five of us in the group did not receive the tour. We could not locate the tour. We waited in line at the Tourist station for an additional 15 minutes only to learn they were not associated with the tour. We found the Picasso Museum and our tour, but we were rejected from the tour. We paid, again, to get into the museum. I cannot recommend because we did not get the tour. Vacation money down the drain. Sometimes planning ahead does not work.

Museum focused on early years of Picasso - so fascinating. Closes out with las meninas. Had no idea Picasso had done his versions. Only comment on tour was that paperwork said to meet at 3pm - but real meet time was 3:30pm.
