Private Cruise to Poseidon Temple at Sounio Cape with Snorkeling and Swimming

We took the private tour with a group of 8 friends and it was very well organised. We were picked up at our hotel in the center of Athens. There was a lot of swimming and snorkling during the tour and the two guides took all the time for us. I would definitely recommend to do this trip.

This was a GREAT cruise!! George was such a fantastic host. He was warm and friendly, prompt and full of information on our drive to the RIB cruise. George brought his little son with him which was fantastic as I was a mom travelling with her 2 sons 19 and 12. The language barrier didn't matter as the kids all played and jumped hundreds of times from the boat. Beautiful stops to swim, snorkel and to have fun. George made it very clear that the boat was ours and we got to call the shots of where to go and when to go. He also brought along a wonderful melon we all shared. After a couple of hours, we were ready to head back and do the Poseidon Temple which we chose to do by car. Beautiful. George also recommended a restaurant and dropped us there for dinner. They had us a wonderful table with fantastic food even though we looked exactly like we were swimming all day and coming off a boat. All in all, the tour, George and everything about this day trip was super special. We as a family enjoy a little privacy and not having to make memories with hordes of tourists. This is exactly what we wanted and how we wanted to spend the day. Some final thoughts, the skipper was professional and safe George's driving was safe. Eat a heavy lunch before as you will only be snacking during the boat tour or bring snacks. Bring a change of clothes as the tour is like 6-7 hours and if you take George up on his recommendation for dinner you won't be sorry! Book this trip and know you are guaranteed a great day in the Aegean Sea. Thanks George!

We had such a great time with George and Nikos! We snorkeles in an amazing cavern and sailed to interesting rock beaches. We all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the trip. They were very accommodating and friendly. It was the favorite activity for most in our group for our week in Athens!

On the day we took this tour, Athens had record breaking heat: High hovering around 115 degrees F. Despite the brutal heat, our driver picked us up on time. The van air conditioning worked great. We were escorted to the office where paper work was completed and were were briefed on our excursion. Also, necessary gear for snorkeling was provided. We then traveled to the place where we would board our boat. Evan accompanied us on this drive, telling us lots of interesting things about sites we saw along the way. We then boarded the boat, where Nicholas was waiting for us. After the boat was loaded with gear and refreshments, we took an amazing tour on the water. Thankfully, it was much cooler on the water! Both Evan and Nicolaus were great tour guides, showing many interesting sites and sharing a bit of history about the areas we visited. We stopped as many times as we wanted to swim and snorkel. We had great refreshments when we wanted. One of our stops included a snorkel into a cavern. Evan accompanied us and pointed out interesting things in the cavern. This was a wonderful way to spend a hot afternoon. The boat was well equipped and had plenty of shade. We saw lots of interesting things from a different perspective-a view of the coast and the Poseidon Temple from the water. Evan and Nicolaus went out of their way to make sure we all had a great time. And we did! After disembarking the boat, Evan drove us the the Temple of Poseidon. The sun was setting and the views were magnificent. Evan welcomed us to take as much time as we wanted there, before getting back into our van and the drive back to Athens. This tour was a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a taste of Greece from the perspective of the Mediterranean Sea. Both Evan and Nicolaus are certified dive instructors. We always felt very safe, both on the boat and in the water. Be prepared: It is quite a distance from the Temple of Poseidon to Athens City Center. But it is well worth the extra driving time.

We've booked this trip for a family of 6, including 2 kids aged 4 and 6, and a 70 years old granny. All enjoyed this excellent trip. The cruise was fast and smooth, and everything was timed perfectly. This was most certainly the best experience of our trip to Greece. George and Nikos tailored the cruise to our needs and took us to places where all could have fun. Greatly recommended.

I was traveling with a group of 6 friends and this was the highlight of our trip. George and Nick are the best guides I've ever come across. They go above and beyond to make sure you're having a good time and genuinely care that you do. Everything was as described. The snacks, fruits and bakery items, were absolutely delicious. The rib boat was comfortable and quick in getting us from location to location. We were able to go to four different spots to snorkel and swim, all were fantastic. The entire time, George and Nick treated the group like we were friends and made us feel so at home. At the end, we also wanted to have time to eat a meal and George recommended and joined us at a fantastic restaurant right below the cliff with the Temple of Poseidon. It was a perfect day. I am really eager to go back to Athens and spend another day on the water with George and Nick.
