Right across the biggest museum of Amsterdam the Rijksmuseum we will depart. If you have your back towards the rijksmuseum, there is a bridge in front of you. I will be on the leftside of the bridge. On the right side there is a ticketoffice from anothet canal cruise comapny called Stromma.

This activity will end right where it started.

  • Due a lot of traffic at the dock, I can't wait more than 5 minutes. Please make sure you are at the dock 10 minutes before departure.
  • Be aware, on the water it can be colder than in the street. Make sure you have a coat with you.
  • A fairly big step needs to be taken to get in the boat. Ofcourse I will assist you.
  • When a lot of rain is predicted I will try to get a covered boat. This might impact the visibility, but keep us dry. On heavily rainy days, rescheduling or refunding is ofcourse possible.
  • I always try to give the best tour possible (5*). But in rare occasion things don't go as you and me would like. Please let me know asap. Aither direct or send me an email of text. I will contact you.
  • The tour is a historical canal cruise, it is not a booze cruise. So if you are looking for a bachelor party boat or any other booze cruise. Just contact me. And I can arrange that for you on a private boat.
  • Captain Jack is collaboration between friend. Captain Jack is not perse himself on the boat.
  • Most travelers can participate

It was a beautiful day so that definitely added to the experience. Capt. Jack is very congenial and a person you like right away. We were offered wine, soda beer or water immediately. There were some snacks like cheese , sausages and biscuits but they didn’t look very appetizing. The candy looks like it has been there for a loooong time, same with the biscuits. Our guide told us about the sites we passed and about historical events. We enjoyed it but would have enjoyed some snacks that we passed on.

The views were so beautiful to see as we slowly traveled through the canals. I would recommend this tour over any other canal because you get an extra half hour and included great drinks and snacks. The cheese was AMAZING. You also get a more personal experience with the Captain who was so knowledgeable. I’d even do this tour again when I come back to visit!!

What a fantastic tour. We had Bernie who was kind, funny and full of knowledge on Amsterdam. The boat was exactly what we wanted, open not more than 20 people, very comfy with umbrellas for rain or shine. Drinks from water to sodas to wine and beer. Cheese, crackers, cookies, it was so professional! The day was gorgeous, we timed it perfectly as our first tour of the morning after our flight and it started our day out perfectly. Great job Captain Jacks!!

We had the best time on this canal cruise in Amsterdam. There a lot to choose from but I'm glad we chose this one as it was so relaxing and so much fun. We travelled with Captain Albert around the canals who kept us safe while telling us interesting stories about the city and the canals. We enjoyed a beer and a wine along with all the other guests who were so friendly too. Highly recommend this tour to all. Do it on your first day as it is a great orientation to the city.
