Passing Leipzig's largest park, the Clara Zetkin Park, we drive to the racecourse in Scheibenholz. After the Leipzig corner we follow the Pleißeflutbett to the lock Connewitz. After being paddled by the Pleiße in the raft ditch, this leads us through untouched nature to the forest lake Lauer. With a bit of luck, a glimpse of the kingfisher can be found here. After the lock Cospuden we finally reach our destination: the Cospudener See.

This is very different scenery than the views from other two hikes, magically these trails are nestled deep within the natural gorge. The trail ends at a “dinghy” boat ride. Finally we drop you back by our cosy minivan to your hotel in Dresden.
