Carrer d'Olot 7, Barcelona, 08024

The Basics

While much of the park remains free to enter and explore, the Monumental Zone, housing many of the most notable landmarks—the benches, gatehouses, dragon stairway, and columned Hypostyle Room—requires a ticket to enter. Stop at the park on a city sightseeing tour, or combine a visit with a tour of Gaudi’s other notable works or even a half-day trip to Montserrat.

Moving tour & amazing guide
This tour was incredibly moving. Olga is an outstanding guide with so much knowledge, passion, and energy. She gave us insight on all art and architecture as well as the engineering and science behind the beauty. This tour was so entertaining and informative. She offered to take photos of the entire group throughout which was so thoughtful. She even stayed after the tour was over and offered to walk us through the museum at Sagrada Familia - loved it! Would highly recommend this tour and request Olga if possible!

Barcelona Tour with Licensed Guide: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and La Pedrera
This was a great tour! Our guide, Miguel, was funny and informative and kept us updated all day with facts about all the stops! Barcelona is a great city and we enjoyed the whole day with Miguel. We also felt very "safe" relative to Covid awareness and precautions. If you want a great European vacation, try Barcelona.

Barcelona Tour with Licensed Guide: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and La Pedrera
Our day tour of Barcelona was an excellent introduction to the city. It covered all the highlights of this diverse city and it’s culture. Our guide Miguel made the day delightful pointing out unique points of interest and making recommendations for our days ahead. We found Barcelona a friendly city and very safe considering the Covid pandemic. Spain takes safety very seriously.

Park Guell Guided Tour with Skip the Line Tickets
This wasn’t my first visit to Parc Guell, but it definitely was my best. The tour guide really did a great job of engaging the six of us as she pointed out sights. And she gave us background stories that brought the history of the park to light.

Barcelona Tour with Licensed Guide: Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and La Pedrera
The tour is comprehensive and good for folks who are pressed on time. Montse, our guide, was passionate and knowledgeable. It ended up being a private tour as my wife and I were the only two people. We learnt a lot about Gaudi, the maverick genius, and all his work.

E-Bike Barcelona Highlights & Park Güell in Small Group
We had a fabulous tour with our guide Ludwika! She was very professional and knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about many aspects of Barcelona history and life. The cycle route was nicely planned and not too difficult, while still covering a lot more ground than we would have managed on our own. Park Guell was beautiful, and Ludwika showed us through parts where most tourists don't go, so it was a very special experience.

How to Get to Park Güell

Park Güell is located in the Gracia neighborhood, about a 15-minute walk from the Vallcarca and Lesseps metro stations on Line 3. The hop-on hop-off blue line bus also stops at the park, as do public buses H6, 32, 24, and 92.

When to Get There

Tickets to the park’s Monumental Zone, one of Barcelona’s top attractions, often sell out during high season (July and August). Weather can also get hot and humid in summer; expect highs in the upper 80s F or low 90s F. Park hours are shorter in the winter months, while both spring and autumn strike a balance with fewer people, cooler weather, and longer opening hours. The hilltop area in the free portion of the park is a popular spot at sunset.

The Unsung Artist Behind Park Güell’s Mosaics

Some of Park Güell’s most notable features—its colorful tile shard mosaics—aren’t the work of Gaudi. His assistant, artist Josep Maria Jujol, was responsible for the park’s undulating tiled benches, as well as the tiled, domed ceiling of the Hypostyle Room.
